Touch the Sky Performance Group, together since February 2005, have devised a new performance piece which they will perform live at the Model Arts & Niland Gallery in December. Drawing their inspiration from the contemporary exhibitions at the Model and engaging in experimental approaches to the drama process, the group have developed a series of performance pieces. The development of this work is based on a process of working through different art forms with practitioners in the field of drama and visual art. Having explored the spatial and narrative possibilities of working in the Black Box, the group have now moved into a more sophisticated engagement with their process and feel it imperative to communicate this to an audience in a live context.
This project is led by director Declan Drohan in collaboration with the education department at the Model and RehabCare, Sligo.
