Craic in the Box Review
Adam Hills

The affable Aussie with one leg (yes, he has a false leg) was making his second trip to Sligo in November of this year.
A few years earlier he had played to an audience of less than 100 in the Hawk’s Well, but this time it was a packed house.
And at least one fan from that earlier gig was present, reminding Hills that the comedian owed him a pint. There ensued some great banter between Adam and an audience who were intent on mischief.
We laughed as much at our own actions and reactions as we did at Adam’s material, but it was the comedian himself which drew this out of us, making an immediate connection and sitting back to watch us entertain him.
Men with mystery occupations, a woman with a sketchpad, three guys called Robert and an audience who refused to sing were just some of the obstacles Adam turned into gold.
Meeting the star afterwards, it was nice to know that he was as genuinely charming as he appeared on the stage.
