Chung Eun-Mo: Paintings 1989-2004 |

Chung Eun-Mo’s work is principally concerned with the distribution of colour, something she has in the past attributed to the influence of Korean and Italian architecture. By juxtaposing different colours, shapes and shades of light, she achieves the effect of spatial structuring, evoking both real and imaginary spaces. The tensions she creates between triangles, rectangles and lozenges of colour result in resonant, moving spaces full of the play of light. Because of this the paintings of Chung Eun Mo operate on many sensory levels. | |
