Tom Fitzgerald : The Ministry of Dust

		A solo exhibition of sculpture, drawings and installations by Limerick-based artist, Tom Fitzgerald.
		Tom Fitzgerald is an artist to whom ideas and concepts have an importance equal to the manipulation of material and objects. He takes inspiration from an array of sources - from the natural world, the built environment, from art history or politics.He likes scientific drawings, the mechanics of cranes, the challenge of rendering in stone ephemeral objects like clouds. The materials he uses are central to his activity as an artist as they open up all kinds of image-making possibilities.
	This exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue and was organised by the Limerick City Gallery of Art .
