Now in it’s second year, Gracelands
is an outdoor art programme which happens on the grounds of the
Mimetic House, Dromahair Co. Leitrim. Curated by Vaari Claffey
and co-produced by The Model,
Gracelands takes place on the afternoon
and evening of Saturday the 26th. The 2009 theme is Folly referring
to acts of madness, architectural conversation pieces, or theatrical
presentations. The event includes readings and performances,
commissioned sculpture, soundworks, and artists' film and video,
all presented in a friendly festival atmosphere. Some projects
commence the night before during Culture Night in Sligo. For

IMPORTANT NOTE: Dress warmly and bring Waterproofs. Wellies are essential as the ground may be wet. You may also need a small torch. If you bring children, please keep them with you at all times. |
