Informal Music Afternoons

Informal afternoons of music making at the model,.  Fun and socialising for music lovers of all ages with members of Sligo Early Music Ensemble and leading local soloists. These popular sessions are held in the galleries in an informal setting and children are welcome.

Model Baroque Youth Orchestra

First taster session Sunday 23 Sept I 1pm -  2.30pm

The Model Baroque Youth Orchestra invites young and talented musicians to participate in a series of weekly music lessons, led by professional musicians, building up to a public performance at The Sligo Festival of Baroque Music.  This is a unique opportunity for young musicians to learn from the acclaimed Baroque quartet Armoniosa, who have been awarded a residency to work and perform in Sligo secondary schools.
