Signals in the Dark: Film & Video Programme
About the Exhibition / Film and Video Programme

Films and videos by international artists and directors play on rotation for the duration of the exhibition. Programming ranges from documentaries on art and culture under the siege of war to reflections on war and violence by artists. Films and videos will be shown in Castle House as public screenings with optional discussion groups afterwards. Admission is free.

De Duiveljager The Devil Hunters

This film shows the interrogation of a dutch soldier, Johannes Tilder, who ended up in the Croation army during the war in Yugoslavia when he witnessed & took part in genocide activities.

A snapshot of life in Baghdad during the US/UK occupation and war on the ground, Daffar describes this documentary as the Iraq you cannot find "on the internet, on the news... bombs and explosions," but a country where people live, and survive, and artists aspire for more.
