Following on the success of the first Solo Festival at the Model last year, Solo '04 is returning with a bang this September.   Fast becoming one of the most important events in the west's summer calendar, Solo '04 promises to bring you exciting and unique performances in an intimate and comfortable venue.  

The Solo festival was created in 2003 to highlight solo performers in every artistic discipline.   Last year Solo featured performances in theatre, film, and music of all genres, to an overwhelmingly enthusiastic response. Playing to the strengths of the Black Box Theatre's sumptuous acoustics, Solo presented intimate, one-of a kind events that emphasised the unique relationship between a performer and his or her audience.     Read about Solo 03.

Solo '04 continues in this vein with an exciting and eclectic mix of musicians, comedians, artists and actors.   The final programme has just been released and includes; multi-instrumentalist David Kitt, blues singer Mary Coughlan, singer songwriter Mark Geary, guitar legend Martin Taylor, folk star Kieran Goss, writer/director/actor Donal O'Kelly local legend Seteve Wickham and classical pianist Neil Cooney.
