The Interview
Young model are interviewing ten outstanding Irish
artists whose work is represented in The Niland Collection.
These exciting interviews with artists as diverse as
Nick Miller, Barrie Cooke and Sean McSweeney will be
hosted on The Model website as an online research archive
to be launched early 2010, just in time for The Model
re-opening. The Interview project is kindly supported
by The Arts Council Youth Ensemble Scheme.

Gracelands (View
Gracelands page)
On September 26th, Young Model hit Gracelands, an outdoor
festival of art, now in it’s second year, on
the grounds of the Mimetic House, Dromahair, Co. Leitrim. Mimetic
stems from the seventeen century Greek word meaning ‘imitation’ and
to mimic the Interview project, young model will catch
up with a number of young Irish contemporary artists.
Interviews with artists Mark Garry, Isabel Nolan, Sam
Keogh and Bea MacMahon will be conducted on location
and in keeping with the theme of this year’s
festival Folly.
